Butler’s defense was basically non-existent for the whole game, especially in the first half where the Bulldogs allowed the Blue Jays to shoot almost 60 percent, and 55 percent for the game. Marcus Foster also scored 21 of his 23 points in the first half, as Butler couldn’t stop him or anyone else cutting to the basket. The Bulldogs defense has been a disaster for most of Big East play, especially in their four straight games against ranked teams. The Bulldogs are allowing 89.5 points per game in the Big East.

Paul Jorgenson was the spark plug for the Bulldogs with 18 points, with Kamar Baldwin adding 15 and Aaron Thompson having 12 points. Kelan Martin had one of his worst games,, who had 10 points, 11 boards, and six turnovers.
