Baldwin, Martin shine amongst Bulldogs

Dawgs of the week: Kamar Baldwin and Kelan Martin

For Butler, this week was the biggest week of the season. The Bulldogs had a 20-point comeback against Georgetown on the road, and beat No. 1 Villanova at Hinkle. In those two games sophomore Kamar Baldwin and senior Kelan Martin had career weeks.

To start off, Kelan Martin shot 17-32 from the field, including 5-9 from behind the arc for a total of 51 points. He also added 12 rebounds and five assists. The senior was needed this week, and he performed above par. Martin had 27 points, four rebounds, and three assists against Georgetown, and 24 points, eight rebounds, and two assist against Villanova.

Kamar Baldwin had totals of 50 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists, shooting 19-39 from the field. His highest point total came against Georgetown with 31 points and shooting 12-21 from the field that game. Against Villanova, he had 19 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, and had his most complete game of the season.
