Two unconventional things are happening in Lexington, Kentucky tonight.
The 15th ranked Tennessee Volunteers will look to sweep the season series of the 24th ranked underdog Kentucky Wildcats. Well, at least everyone thought Kentucky would be the underdog.
Predictions on the UK-UT line? Is this the rare time Kentucky is an underdog in Rupp Arena in a conference game? Given how UK has played at Rupp and how Tennessee has played last month, I would not be shocked.

Somehow, Kentucky is slightly favored in this game despite having a rough season so far and losing to the Vols once already.
The 2017-18 season has been quite the opposite of what it usually is for each respective program. Kentucky seems to always be at the top of the college basketball world with the likes of Kansas, Duke, and North Carolina. However, this year, they have struggled sporadically by falling to teams in the SEC they usually do not lose to such as Missouri and South Carolina.
The Cats are still ranked though, and come in with a record of 17-6 and will look to bounce back from a loss at Missouri this past Saturday.
On the other hand, Tennessee is on fire and hitting their stride with three straight double-digit wins with one being a 33 point bombardment on the Ole Miss Rebels this past Saturday.
The Vols enter the contest with a 17-5 record and hope to continue their momentum in historic Rupp Arena. This could prove to be a crucial game for Rick Barnes’s team as Tennessee could really position themselves well in the NCAA tournament in March if they continue to defeat teams in convincing fashion. While Kentucky is young and not as elite as normal, sweeping them on the season is still great for the Vols for conference play and morale as a whole.
Tip off in Lexington is set for 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
