Dylan Cease is off to a fast start for the South Bend Cubs. This past Saturday, Cease tallied his first victory in what was another gem of a performance. That night, Cease went five innings deep into the ball game punching out six hitters on the way.

The game showcased what many scouts have said time and time again regarding the young pitcher. He possesses a strong arm that can torch opposing hitters. Cease lit up the radar gun with triple digits several times throughout the ballgame and only allowed one run before exiting.

Saturday was not an apparition; as mentioned above Cease has had outstanding performances all season. In 2017, he has a 1.88 ERA and has struck out 43 through six games. For his strong start, the Cubs organization recognized Cease as their pitcher of the month for April.

If you have yet to watch Cease pitch, be sure to get out to the ballpark before it is too late. His next scheduled start is Friday, May 12 at Peoria.
