Jordan Tucker, a 6’7”, 207-pound, small forward originally from New York, is transferring from Duke. This is his freshman season after he was a top 80 recruit last summer. He played two seasons at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, averaging 17.8 points as a junior and earning all-state recognition. He transferred to Wheeler in Marietta, Ga., for his senior season after his father accepted a job in Atlanta.

“It was pretty simple for me. I just needed playing time,” Tucker told the Charlotte News & Observer.

Butler is probably one of the better options for Tucker, especially since they have three scholarships available and Kelan Martin graduating, He could have a spot in the starting lineup. Tucker was in the three-point shooting contest in last seasons Final Four in Phoenix, so he could provide scoring that will be needed to replace Martin.Tucker visited Butler for the Marquette game and if he enrolls in a school within the next week, he would be available to play in the second semester of next season.
