Welcome to Blue HQ Media’s “Recruiting Trail” series where we will be bringing you the latest on the top prospects for your team. Sit back and enjoy the ride as we take a look at today’s prospect, Romeo Langford.

Langford is a 6’5″ shooting guard from New Albany, IN. A five-star recruit, he is regarded as the top high school basketball recruit in the state of Indiana and the No. 3 overall in the nation. He is currently a junior at New Albany High School, where he led the team to a state championship his sophomore year.

Langford is known for his scoring ability, most notably on all three levels–above the rim, midrange and beyond the arc–to the tune of 29.0 points per game over two years of varsity basketball.

Heading into his senior year, the question is out there: can Langford get to Damon Bailey’s career state points record of 3,134? With Langford currently at 1,420 points, it is a bit of a long shot, but he could find himself in the top 10 which is still a great accomplishment.

Langford is currently being recruited by all of the top schools in the nation–Duke, Louisville and North Carolina–with two top Indiana schools still in play with Indiana and Purdue. Look for IU to make a strong push, in what could be a great signing for Archie Miller in his first season as Indiana’s head coach.
