Dalton Tinklenberg

Media Director

My name is Dalton Tinklenberg and I am the Media Director for Blue HQ Media. I’ve followed sports for as long as I can remember and am a former Pacers’ fan zone member. I began writing a blog about the Pacers in early 2015 before moving on to cover the Colts for ProFootballSpot in late July of 2016. In September, fellow writers Aaron Coffey and Jeff Tibbins, along with myself, decided to found Blue HQ Media. Tom Ratliff

Assistant Media Director

My name is Tom, and I have been an avid hockey and Colts fan for most of my life. The lack of an NHL team here means I try to watch hockey any way I can, including a lot of nights as a youngster inside old Market Square Arena watching the Indianapolis Ice. I am excited to bring you my perspective on a multitude of hockey teams. Additionally I enjoy shooting sports, and rooting for America in the Summer and Winter Olympics.


Bianka Tinklenberg


My name is Bianka Tinklenberg and my role is to capture photographs to be used on the website in articles and feature pieces. I grew up in Rensselaer, Indiana and then attended Ball State where I majored in Elementary Education. I developed a fast love for sports while there and have never looked back.

Amanda Pavelka

I’m Amanda Pavelka! I’m a nurse in Missouri, just trying to find my way back to where my heart is…. B-town! Born and raised in the Hoosier State, I’ve been reppin’ candy stripes since the day I was born! It is my dream to be an IU Nurse Practioner school alum, and when I’m not taking care of families, I’ll be covering IU sports!

Alexa Goodman

New York State Manager

I recently graduated from Purdue University and set off to figure out a way to mix my love of sports with a full time job. Enter, Blue HQ Media, with an open position for a writer to cover Purdue football. I bring to the mix of great writers experience in social media, sports reporting, public relations and a love of all things Boilermaker. I’m originally from New Jersey, but came out west for college and never turned back, moving to Chicago shortly after graduation.

Brandon Morales

Tennessee/Kentucky Manager

Brandon Morales is the State Manager for both Kentucky and Tennessee Sports. Despite being a New Mexico Native, he is a diehard Tennessee Titans fan. He’s followed the team since the Houston Oilers days and continues to support the Two-Tone Blue. He covered High School football, basketball, volleyball, and track for a local New Mexico newspaper after his playing days in were ended due to injuries. His love for journalism was inspired by English Teacher, Sara Ball. In 2010, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New Mexico State University. His contributions to the site include in-depth analysis on the Tennessee Titans, coverage on the Tennessee Vols and other SEC teams. He prides himself on being a supporting husband and loving father. This New Mexico family is a Titans household that loves cheering on their team each and every Sunday.

Brian Bertke

Ohio/Pennsylvania State Manager

I’m Brian Bertke and I am a general sports fan. I follow football and baseball the most but I can find nearly all sports interesting. The teams you will likely see me cheering on will be the Ohio State University Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds and Bowling Green State University Falcons. While I did start my college studies at BGSU, I graduated from Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio in 2012 with bachelor’s degrees in sports management and business administration and graduated with a master’s in business administration three years after that. My dream is to have a form of ownership of a professional sports franchise, but writing about sports can be just as interesting.

Anthony Bianchi

Anthony Bianchi has been a lifelong baseball and Cleveland Indians fan. He was lucky enough to attend game 5 of the 1997 World Series as a child. He has received his Bachelor and Master degrees in classical music from the University of Akron. Anthony is excited to bring his knowledge of both Major League Baseball and the Cleveland Indians to Blue HQ Media.

Derek Hutton

I’m Derek Hutton, proud Indiana sports fan. Born in Indianapolis and raised in New Albany, IN, I’ve wanted to be in sports media since I used to read the sports page while watching ESPN as a six-year old. I’m a baseball enthusiast who’s dedicated to keeping you updated on your Indiana minor league teams. Also, as a former play-by-play broadcaster, I’m excited to take my skills into the digital age as the cohost of the Blue Diamond Sports Show.

Marcus Johnson

Film Room Expert

I am the Blue HQ media Film room and draft analyst. I also come with training from ex-pro scout Dan Hatman and the scouting academy. I contribute to Blue HQ Media with a vast knowledge of football and the complexity of the positions. I am also a former hip-hop artist and a lover of 70’s soul music.

Joey Denney

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Joey Denney and I was born and raised in a small town in Indiana called Van Buren. As long as I can remember sports has been one of my biggest passions. Although I love all sports football has always been my favorite more specifically the Indianapolis Colts. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood are watching my idol Peyton Manning each and every Sunday with my father. My dad started my passion for the Colts and it has only grown stronger since.

Catherine Cassidy Dahl

My name is Catherine Dahl. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from Ashland University and my master’s degree from Bowling Green State University with a focus on curriculum and instruction. I am a fourth-grade teacher as well as the Browns beat writer. I have been a Browns fan my whole life as well as loving the Cleveland sports teams. I have three children and a granddaughter. I look forward to watching Cleveland sports as it brings the family together.

Trisha Houser

My name is Trisha Houser, and I’m from Cincinnati. In my professional time, I’m a project manager for Humana; in my spare time, I’m a diehard FC Cincinnati and soccer fan. I’ve loved soccer for years, first becoming acquainted with the German National Team during the World Cup…many years ago. I’ve followed FC Cincinnati since their inaugural season, and I’m excited to cover these games and instill in everyone a love of soccer!

Evan Miller

My name is Evan and I am the beat writer for the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets. I started on Blue HQ Media about seven months ago writing for the ECHL’s Fort Wayne Komets. I am an avid Indy Fuel fan. I love all Indiana sports aside from the Fuel, including the Pacers and the Colts. I started going to hockey games when I was one week old when my family had season tickets to the Fort Wayne Komets. We moved to the Indianapolis area about 11 years ago and I was ecstatic when it was announced that the Hallett family brought a professional hockey team back to Indy. I was even happier when I found out that would be competing in the ECHL, the same league as my (former) favorite team, the Komets. My name is Steve Dishon.  I am the Chicago Blackhawks beat writer for Blue HQ Media.  I am a 1993 Graduate of Indiana University with a B.A. in English with a minor in Tele-Communications.  I am the current Athletic Director at Taylor Middle/Senior High School in Kokomo Indiana.  I am a life-long sports fan growing up in a “Hoosiers” household.  My love for hockey began in the scoreboard section of the newspaper- ESPN not yet in existence. My love grew as ESPN blossomed in the early 80s.  It was cemented when I saw Brett Hull and Steve Yzerman play in Indianapolis.  I hope to bring a unique perspective to your love of the Blackhawks.

My name is Chad Brommer. I write for Blue HQ Media primarily covering the Pittsburgh Steelers. I grew up in central Pennsylvania but currently reside just east of Cleveland. I bleed Black and Gold and have from the time I could walk. I work as a Senior Project Manager for a top-5 insurance company. In my free time, I love spending time with my beautiful wife and our animals, watching sports, hiking, backpacking, and learning new things. I’m also a huge wrestling nerd, primarily focusing on the Indy circuit. One of my top sports memories is meeting James Harrison at training camp. My name is Dan Rourke and I am Blue HQ’s New York Yankees writer. As long as I can remember, I’ve had an obsession with the sport of baseball and the Yankees, and I am very thankful I have been given the opportunity to cover what I love.
