In September, fellow writers Aaron Coffey and Jeff Tibbins, along with myself, decided to found Blue HQ Media. We are extremely dedicated to top of the line content so without further ado, welcome to your new favorite news source.

Tom Ratliff

Vice President/Michigan Journalist

My name is Tom, and I have been an avid hockey and Colts fan for most of my life. The lack of an NHL team here means I try to watch hockey any way I can, including a lot of nights as a youngster inside old Market Square Arena watching the Indianapolis Ice. I am excited to bring you my perspective on our current minor league hockey team, the Indy Fuel, and occasionally keep you up to date on their affiliate, the NHL Chicago Blackhawks. Additionally I enjoy shooting sports, and rooting for America in the Summer and Winter Olympics.

The teams you will likely see me cheering on will be the Ohio State University Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds and Bowling Green State University Falcons. While I did start my college studies at BGSU, I graduated from Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio in 2012 with bachelor’s degrees in sports management and business administration and graduated with a master’s in business administration three years after that. My dream is to have a form of ownership of a professional sports franchise, but writing about sports can be just as interesting.
