NaVorro Bowman to Indy?

Adam Schefter reported Friday that San Francisco had released inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman from the team.

This could be a tremendous pickup for Indianapolis. The Colts biggest deficiency on defense has been there inside linebackers’ inability to play at a high level.
Bowman could help fill the void for the Colts’ defense

Bowman just turned 29 years old last May and he has been a multiple pro-bowl selection. His ability to “quarterback” a defense is unlike many others in the NFL and his ability to play both the run and pass would be a huge improvement over what they currently have in their linebacker room.

Chris Ballard has already reshaped this defense to perform better, but this move could help this defense go from passable to relatively successful as his leadership and ability help fill the biggest issue on Indy’s defense. Hopefully, his talent acquisition team recognizes the opportunity and brings in this multi- pro bowler to help Indy as it pushes to compete this year.
